2016 Autism Conference

Registration fee (opens September 1st, 2015): $75, includes lunch, access to workshops, discussions, continuing education credits, and exclusive Friday afternoon keynote address by Dr. Temple Grandin.
Late registration: $100, after December 1, 2015.
The 2016 Autism Conference will feature experts presenting strategies and tools for improving the delivery of support services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (asd). The conference will provide opportunities for individuals with Asperger’s to hone social skills and will serve as a catalyst for establishing networks between conference participants.
In-depth, 3 and 6 hour workshops will target parents and caregivers, educators, emergency response personnel, and teens and young adults with asd and Asperger’s.
Continuing education credits will be available.
- To provide parents/caregivers/families, educators, 1st responders, and other community members with strategies and tools to better meet the needs of individuals with ASD.
- To equip teens and young adults on the spectrum with strategies and skills enabling them to better succeed in molding and building the lives they desire.
- To raise community awareness about the prevalence of autism and provide insight into what autism is [and is not] and how we, as a community, can increase interaction with and better support our neighbors affected by autism.
- To bring community members together and facilitate collaboration on services for individuals with ASD moving forward
